About the 10×30 pull-through

Our largest unit is unusual — and worth understanding before you reserve. The 10×30 has roll-up doors on both ends, so you drive in one side and out the other. That's a major advantage for contractors and recreational vehicle owners who don't want to back a trailer out of a single-door unit.

Door opening

9 ft wide × 8 ft tall

Measure your rig, including roof rack, motor, or canvas, before reserving.

Drive aisle

30 ft wide

Very long trailers can be tight to maneuver — call ahead to confirm clearance.

We'd rather be upfront than have you show up and not fit. Call (509) 827-1927 with your vehicle's length, height, and width and we'll check before you commit.

Why renters in Kennewick & Richland pick a large unit

Whole-home moves & estate transitions

Three-bedroom houses, estate downsizes, and out-of-state relocations land here. A 10×20 fits a full three-bedroom; a 10×30 takes the contents of a five-bedroom plus garage. Climate-controlled 10×20s protect antiques, art, and electronics through Columbia Basin heat and cold.

Contractors & trades

Plumbers, electricians, landscapers, and remodelers across Kennewick and Richland use drive-up large units as a second shop: tools, materials, ladders, and a work truck all in one secured footprint. The 10×30 pull-through is the Tri-Cities trades favorite.

Work trucks, trailers & smaller watercraft

The 10×30 pull-through accommodates work trucks, utility trailers, and smaller watercraft that clear the 9′ × 8′ door. If you're storing a fishing boat for the off-season or a contractor trailer between jobs, this is the size to ask about.

Business inventory & seasonal stock

Tri-Cities retailers, event rental companies, and online sellers use drive-up large units for bulk inventory and seasonal stock. Pull a truck up to the door, load directly, lock and go — no elevators, no carts, no hallways.

Sizing up: small, medium, or large?

Large units (10×20 and 10×30) handle three-bedroom-and-up homes, vehicles, and contractor loads. The wrong size is the most common storage regret — use the guide below to land on the right one the first time.

If you're storing… Recommended size
Less than a one-bedroom — boxes, gear, spare-room overflow Small (5×5 or 5×10)
A one- or two-bedroom apartment or home Medium (10×10 or 10×15)
A three-bedroom house or small business inventory 10×20
A five-bedroom home, work truck, trailer, or smaller boat 10×30 pull-through

Common questions about large storage units

What counts as a large storage unit?
In the self-storage industry, "large" generally means units 200 square feet and above — comparable to a one- or two-car garage. Storage Station offers two large sizes at our Kennewick / Richland facility: the 10×20 (200 sq ft, climate-controlled or drive-up) for whole-home moves, and the 10×30 (300 sq ft, drive-up pull-through) for the biggest loads, work trucks, trailers, and contractor gear.
What fits in a large storage unit?
A 10×20 holds a whole multi-room house: sectional, recliners, three bedroom sets, multiple appliances (fridge, range, washer, dryer), 60+ moving boxes, plus contractor tools and ladders. A 10×30 (our largest, with pull-through doors on both ends) handles a complete five-bedroom home, a work truck or trailer that clears the 9 ft wide × 8 ft tall door, smaller watercraft, or a contractor's full season of materials and equipment.
How much do large storage units cost in the Tri-Cities?
Our 10×20 drive-up units start at $199/mo and climate-controlled 10×20s start around $309/mo. The 10×30 pull-through drive-up starts at $299/mo. New tenants can take 50% off the first three months when the spring promo is running. Call (509) 827-1927 for live availability — large units sell out fastest.
Can I park a vehicle in a large storage unit?
Yes. A compact car fits in the 10×20 drive-up bay if it clears the door opening. The 10×30 is a pull-through unit with 9 ft wide × 8 ft tall roll-up doors on each end — it accommodates work trucks, trailers, and smaller watercraft, but larger sedans, full-size pickups, medium boats, and tall RVs may not clear the opening. Call us with your vehicle's dimensions (length, height including any roof rack or canvas) and we'll confirm before you reserve.
Is a 10×20 enough for a three-bedroom house?
For most three-bedroom homes in Kennewick or Richland, a 10×20 is the right call. You'll fit the living room, dining set, three bedroom sets, and major appliances side-by-side with stacked boxes. If you have an oversized sectional, a piano, substantial garage gear, or a five-bedroom home worth of furniture, step up to the 10×30.
What's the difference between the 10×20 and the 10×30?
The 10×20 (200 sq ft) is a standard drive-up or climate-controlled unit, sized like a small one-car garage. The 10×30 (300 sq ft) is our largest unit — pull-through, drive-up only, with roll-up doors on both ends so you can drive in one side and out the other. The 10×30 is designed for vehicles, trailers, and contractors who need to load and unload from a truck without backing out.
Do you offer climate-controlled large storage?
Yes — the 10×20 is available in climate-controlled. The 10×30 is drive-up only (the pull-through design and door size make climate control impractical for that footprint). If you need climate protection for a whole-home load, two 10×15 climate-controlled units side-by-side can also work — call us to compare options.
Are large storage units available month-to-month?
Yes. Every Storage Station unit, including both large sizes, rents month-to-month. No long-term commitment, move out any time after your first 30 days. Most large-unit renters keep them for 3–12 months during a whole-home move, estate transition, or active contractor season.

Ready to reserve a large storage unit?

Reserve your 10×20 or 10×30 online in minutes. Same-day move-ins available, and new tenants get a free move-in truck. Large units sell out fastest — call (509) 827-1927 if you don't see the configuration you need online.
